President Sisi to hold summit with Qatar's Emir, group of businessmen, Wednesday

CAIRO – 13 September 2022: Egypt’s Presidency spokesperson Bassam Radi said that President Abdel Fattah al Sisi will meet, Wednesday with Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani along with number of Qatari businessmen.

Radi added in televised statements that president Sisi is accompanied by a high-level group.

Th spokesperson also explained that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's visit to Doha, comes after long and mutual communications between Cairo and Doha during the past year and after a period of ‘estrangement’, between the two countries.

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi started on Tuesday an official two-day visit to Qatar’s capital, Doha, in for the first time as per the invitation of Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Qatar’s Emir Tamim received Sisi at Hamad International Airport; the Egyptian Presidency announced.

President Sisi's visit to Doha comes as a “culmination of the intensive mutual discussions between the two brotherly countries during the recent period to strengthen the frameworks of joint bilateral cooperation at all levels,” the Presidency explained in a statement.

During the Doha visit, Sisi and Qatar's Emir Tamim will address the most prominent axes of bilateral relations binding the two brotherly countries.

They will also discuss regional and international issues of joint concern and the concerted efforts required in this regard to protect Arab national security.
