Egypt's Health Ministry says it is safe to be given Covid, flu vaccines

CAIRO - 28 August 2022; The Health Ministry has assured citizens that it is okay to obtain both Covid-19 vaccine and the seasonal influenza shot, stressing no interaction is likely to occur.

Ministry spokesman Dr Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, in a statement on facebook, said citizens are rather advised to take both jabs.

The flu shots will sure contribute to greatly reducing the severity of the disease and, accordingly, the death rates, Abdel Ghaffar noted.

However, the Health Ministry spokesman warned against taking both shots combined at the same time because it could be dangerous in certain cases.
