German Embassy denies warning citizens from travelling to Egypt

CAIRO – 14 July 2017: In an official statement on Friday, the German Embassy in Cairo stated that no warnings have been issued to their citizens against travelling to Egypt.

The statement came following rumors that Germany warned their citizens from travelling to Egypt. The Embassy clarified that the security guidelines content have not changed during the last few weeks.

Earlier, the German Embassy in Cairo warned against all non-essential travel to specific parts in Egypt, especially the Sinai Peninsula.

In the statement, the Embassy presents security guidelines for all countries in the world.
