Egyptian ambassador discusses cooperation with Mauritanian FM

NOUAKCHOTT - 14 July 2017: Ambassador in Nouakchott Maged Nafie on Friday discussed with Mauritanian Foreign Minister Isselkou Ould Ahmed Izid Bih boosting cooperation between the two countries.

This came during the participation of the Mauritanian foreign minister in a ceremony held in the Egyptian embassy on Thursday evening marking the 65th anniversary of July 23, 1952 revolution.

Members of the Egyptian community in Mauritania, heads of Mauritanian political parties, parliamentarians and a number of intellectuals and editors in chief of Mauritanian newspapers attended the ceremony.

Nafie stressed that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Mauritanian counterpart Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz communicate on a regular basis and that the views of both leaders on various issues are similar.
