In a statement, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said 36 patients have died from the virus over the past 44 hours, raising the death toll to 22,566.

As many as 891 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 354,300 so far, the spokesman said.

The Cairo International Airport received 4 million coronavirus vaccine doses from the United Kingdom, British Ambassador to Egypt Gareth Bayley said on Friday.
