CAIRO-  6 January 2022:  Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, discussed on Wednesday ways to further enhance the relations and cooperation between the two nations, according to a statement from the official website of the UAE Crown Prince.
 
“Over a phone call, the two sides exchanged congratulations over the new Gregorian Year, praying to Allah Almighty for further progress, stability, and security for the two countries and their peoples,” the statement read.
 
“The two leaders also reviewed a number of regional and international issues, stressing the importance of maintaining consistent and integrated positions that consolidate Arab and regional security and ensure sustainable development in the countries of the region,” the statement added.
 
On 26 November 2021, President Sisi received a phone call from Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They touched on a number of issues pertinent to bilateral cooperation and relations between the two countries, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Radi in a statement.
 
Both leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
