Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli's meeting with Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Mohamed Abdel Aty on 4th edition of Cairo Water Week preparations. Egypt Today/Suleiman al-Atify

CAIRO – 29 September 2021: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli convened Wednesday with Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Mohamed Abdel Aty to discuss the elimination of encroachments on Nile River, and preparations for the fourth edition of Cairo Water Week.

 

The event will take place on October 24-28 having as theme "Water, Population and Global Changes: Challenges and Opportunities." The forum – held under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi – hosts as speakers, scientists, local, foreign, and international officials in the water sector as well as NGOs' representatives.

 

The panels will discuss solutions for sustainable management of water resources in face of population growth, and climate change impact.
