Foreign Ministry welcomes purging Benghazi from terrorist groups

CAIRO - 8 July 2017: The Foreign Ministry has welcomed purging Benghazi from terrorist and extremist groups.

Benghazi was the latest city to be freed from terrorists.

In its statement released on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry praised the efforts of the Libyan national army in fighting terrorism, and inflicting a bitter defeat to the terrorist groups there.

It is another successful step to recapture the rest of the cities under the control of terrorists, the statement added.

The statement reiterated the country’s stance on the necessity of uprooting terrorism, and concerting the international efforts to stop bankrolling terrorism.
