CAIRO – 16 July 2021: The Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Friday expressed sincere condolences to each of Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg over the victims of the “horrific” floods.

Torrential rain and flooding have so far led to the death of more than 100 people and caused hundreds to be missing in western Europe, according to reports.

The Egyptian ministry expressed sincere solidarity with the countries over their victims and afflicted areas.

“Egypt introduces sincere condolences to the families of the victims, wishing that the missing [people] survive,” a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry read.

“Egypt also expresses its solidarity with the governments and peoples of these friendly countries in the wake of that crisis,” the ministry added.
