BAGHDAD – 8 July 2017: Iraq forces have fully controlled the right bank of Mosul, Iraqi joint command said on Saturday.

Commander of "We Are Coming Nineveh" Operation Abdel Amir Rashid Yarallah said the Iraqi Federal Forces set free Bab el Tob district and its surroundings in the Old City of Mosul.

In the meantime, Head of the Iraqi Federal Police L. General Raed Jawdat announced on Friday that the mission of the police in the Old City of Mosul has been accomplished, asserting that the troops would continue hunting down remnants of Daesh in al Nujaifi street.

Meanwhile, 35 Daesh members were killed and six others seized while trying to sneak into the left side of Mosul.

Also, 12 Daesh elements were killed in airstrikes in western Mosul, a local source said
