CAIRO - 8 July 2017: Egypt will take part in meetings of the strategic liaison group of the international coalition against Daesh terrorist group that will be held in Washington on July 11-13, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid on Saturday.

Egypt will be represented at the meetings by its foreign ministry, he added in press statements, noting that Egypt will also attend meetings of senior officials concerned with fighting terrorism of the coalition member states.

Meeting of the working group in charge of the liaison strategy and fighting extremist thought is held this time after important and critical developments in the file of fighting terrorism at the international level, said Abu Zeid, who is also the Egyptian chief delegate to the meetings.

The meeting is the first of its kind after the Arab-Islamic-American summit that was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in May, he pointed out, noting that it also comes after Egypt had expressed its stance on the issue of fighting terrorism that was made clear in the statement of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi at the summit.

The Egyptian delegation to the meeting will expound the Egyptian vision on fighting terrorism without any political considerations, he added
