CAIRO - 3 April 2020: The Cabinet information center denied upping taxes levied on civil servants by 13 percent in the 2021-2022 budget, according to its statement on Saturday.


The center said it communicated with the Finance Ministry which dismissed the news as baseless.

The ministry stressed that there is no intention to raise taxes on people.

The ministry called on media to verify the authenticity of information to avoid spreading rumors.
