EVER ART is the largest container ship in the world, and follows the shipping line "EVER GREEN".
Head of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Osama Rabie held a press conference on Wednesday as Ever Given ship left the waterway after striking a confidential deal with the insurance company.
It added that the blockage would reduce global reinsurers’ earnings but should not materially affect their credit profiles, while prices for marine reinsurance will rise further as a consequence of the container ship ‘Ever Given’ grounding in the canal.
Brent crude prices decreased by $ 1.4, equivalent to 2.1%, to reach $ 63.2 per barrel. US crude fell by about $ 1.5, or 2.4%, to hit $ 59.5 a barrel.
