The Middle East’s largest dredger arrived in Suez Canal on Tuesday from Holland as part of an equipment upgrade of the Egyptian waterway.
At the Great Bitter Lakes, the dredger will be separated from the “XIANG RUI KOU to be floated in the canal, Rabie continued.
The dredger that will be delivered Friday is dubbed "Mohab Mamish," and that to arrive in summer is called "Hussein Tantawy."
The launching ceremony, held at Krimpen shipyard of the Dutch shipbuilder Royal IHC, was attended by the company’s CEO Gerben Eggink and Egyptian Ambassador to the Netherlands Hatem Abdel Gawad.
