The investment minister held an extensive meeting with representatives of global car manufacturers, agents, and distributors to bolster Egypt's automotive industry on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister emphasized a strong conviction that Egypt's energy future hinges on new and renewable sources. He underscored the importance of exploring avenues to integrate substantial amounts of such energy into the electrical grid and coordinating efforts to localize industries linked to renewable energy technologies, including solar panels and wind energy.
These efforts aim to maximize the potential of Egypt's mineral assets and foster the localization of digital chip and solar cell industries
The Prime Minister added that Egypt’s economic reform is based on several sectors, the most important of which is industry. He noted that the government is working on the localization of various sectors like industry, agriculture, communication and Information Technology.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Madbouly emphasized the importance of the Yazaki braid factory in promoting the localization of automobile component manufacturing, aligning with Egypt's strategy for developing the automobile industry
The minister confirmed that there is no going back from the decision to localize industry in Egypt.
Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Dr. Mohamed Shaker, affirmed that the ministry and its subsidiaries are working to gradually localize the industry to reach 100% and give priority to the Egyptian product.
