“The program is moving in the right direction and is gradually achieving its targets, both in terms of growth recovery and gradual decline in inflation, and a normal functioning of the foreign exchange market,” Azour said during a briefing in Dubai.
“Egypt is working to restore investor confidence in an economy that was damaged by the repercussions of the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” according to Azour’s televised statements.
Azour pointed out that AMF is cooperating at a large scale with central banks and governments in the region along with international financial institutions to bolster the financial inclusion.
Azour is now visiting here with a mission of the IMF to get acquainted with the economic and social reform programs in Egypt.
