Cyber Extortion
Technology has become an inseparable part of our lives, connecting us in so many ways, but truth be told, it is not always positive. Sadly, we are now facing a worldwide phenomenon, a dark emergence of picture-based blackmail, specifically targeting girls.
The Ministry of Youths and Sports represented by the Central Administration of Parliament and Civic Education, held dialogue sessions as part of the activities of the national campaign to combat cyber extortion under the slogan “Protect Yourself”.
Badawi said that the law combating computer-oriented crimes is one of the most important legislations that would also help deal with anti-state rumors circulated on social media and some websites.
