Cassation Court
A cassation court sentenced on Thursday Egyptian businessman Hassan Rateb and former Parliament member Alaa Hassanin to three and five years in prison respectively over antiquities trafficking charges.
Judge Abdullah Omar was sworn in as new head of Egypt’s Court of Cassation on Wednesday, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Presidency said in a statement.
