In an inspecting tour to follow up on the axis and road projects in Giza, El-Sisi said the road projects being implemented in the governorate total 200 km, affirming that the newly implemented roads will reduce congestion on the existing roads and axes and save fuel.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected on Friday the work progress at new axes and road projects in Greater Cairo.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed officials to establish Al-Hadara Axis to connect Mukattam Plateau to the area of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) and Ain Al-Seera, the Presidency said in a statement.
Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi followed up on Monday on the work flow of the projects carried out by the Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority nationwide, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
The construction works inspected by the president come within the framework of the national projects to develop the road network in Greater Cairo.
The projects inaugurated by the president included housing projects in the new cities around Giza's Sixth of October city to secure thousands of housing units.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi urged establishing a system of service centers for roads and axes network, in a way that integrates with the national roads project in the country, the Presidency said in a statement.
Sisi urged applying the largest possible expansion of traffic lanes in roads so that they can accommodate the future increase in the movement of vehicles in these roads.
