Customs authority ensures immediate release of shipments of vaccines, medicines: minister

Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait has issued directives to head of the Egyptian Customs Authority Shahat Ghatori on speeding up customs clearance procedures for vaccines and medications immediately, even during times of weekends, vacations and days off.

Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait said the government has been given a presidential mandate to compress the timetable set out for implementing the Universal Health Insurance System in Egypt; so that it would be applied nationwide within 10 years instead of 15.
