Personal representative of the Egyptian president at NEPAD chaired the preparatory meetings in October.
The ambassador made the remarks during a meeting with Senegalese President's Diplomatic Adviser Sonar Ngom.
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi laid out Egypt’s five priorities of its presidency of New Partnership for Africa's Development’s (NEPAD) steering committee during the Fifth Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the African Union on Sunday.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Wednesday that the current international economic crisis requires finding new and non-conventional financing resources and exerting more efforts with partners in the continent to solve the growing debt crisis in a way that will enable the continent restore its economic recovery.

“We are hoping that under Egypt’s chairmanship of the African Union, we could make a further advancement of the Japan’s contribution to Africa.”
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi affirmed Egypt's support for all the initiatives aiming at developing Africa, especially with regard to infrastructure projects, energy and programs to build African human resources.
Egypt has been actively engaged in various committees and working groups formed for this purpose to ensure the reform process produces consistent results.
