Conditional Release
The High Commission for Pardon began examining the cases entitled to conditional release and choose the inmates to be pardoned accordingly.
The prison authorities in Egypt have released 168 inmates per a presidential pardon, while many others have been granted a conditional release.
A number of 157 inmates have been pardoned, as part of the presidential pardon No. 52/2019, concerning the release of some inmates, after they serve part of their sentences.
The list was finalized on Oct.24.
They were released before finishing their sentences.
A total of 710 prisoners were released on Wednesday per a presidential pardon.
A total of 405 prisoners were released on Thursday per a presidential pardon, while 478 others were granted conditional release.
