The Egyptian state seeks to establish the country as a regional center for trading and exporting gas and energy in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
Recently, Egypt has signed a series of deals with global companies for green hydrogen production in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, including India's ReNew Power, Norway's Scatec, Germany's H2-Industries, and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar).
Venture capital investment in Egypt is progressing significantly thanks to the state's efforts to empower talents and young entrepreneurs, Amer said.
He also expounded the country's efforts to expand the use of clean energy as part of efforts to diversify clean energy sources by 2025.
A statement released by the Oil Ministry on Tuesday said turning Egypt into a regional energy hub would benefit all our neighboring countries and Europe.
The meeting was attended by Italy's Ambassador in Cairo Giampaolo Cantini.
Shoukry expressed Egypt's appreciation for the efforts exerted by the Italian government to return relations back on track, hoping of more cooperation between the two countries within the coming period, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
