British Colonization
The British fleet exiled the leader of the Orabi Revolt, Ahmed Orabi and his colleagues to Sri Lanka, on December 28, 1882.
Darwich’s grandson, Mohamed Darwish, said that the family has always been suspicious that the British colonization was implicated in his grandfather’s death.
