“Legislations must be enacted to control fatwas, especially on TV and internet websites,” chairman of General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE) in the UAE said.
“Fatwas should coordinate with the state to protect human rights, putting an end to any threat to the state’s safety and security,” said the Grand Mufti of Lebanon.
The move seeks to highlight Egypt’s efforts in denouncing extremist discourses.
