The delegation’s visit will continue until the end of the week. They will inspect the precautionary measures against coronavirus before the flights are resumed starting 9 August, informed sources at the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation said.
The Russian president praised the efforts made by the Egyptian authorities in securing airports.
The Russian ambassador to Cairo, Sergei Kirpichenko, praised President Sisi's recent visit to Moscow.
The resumption of the fights came into forces following the signature of the decree, the new agency added.
“EgyptAir did not allow any conditions infringing on its sovereignty to be included in any agreements with Russia,” former Aviation Minister Wael El-Madawi said.

The Egyptian-Russian direct flights would resume in the first half of February.
Cairo and Moscow has made progress in discussions tackling the resumption of Russian flights to Egypt.
