Edita Food Industries - Morocco plans to increase its investments in Morocco by 170 million Moroccan dirhams (equivalent to $17.5 million).
The company registered sales of LE 4.021 billion in 2020, compared to sales of LE 4.025 billion in 2019.
According to the company’s statement, this line will enable it to double its wafer production capacity compared to the start of 2020.
This is in terms of terminating the manufacturing and technical services contract concluded between them on April 29, 2011, and amended it on May 15, 2013.
Edita seeks to reinforce its expansion plans and strengthen its position in the snacks market through the contract.
Edita’s revenues declined quarter-on-quarter, as the volumes of its segments, except for the rusk, decreased 13.6 percent.
Edita Food Industries’ profits dropped 85.3 percent to LE 1.7 million in the second quarter of 2017, down from LE 41.6 million in Q2 of 2016.
