Sukari Gold Mine
The company's gold production from Sukari Gold Mine during the first half of 2023 reached 220.6 thousand ounces, compared to 203.9 thousand ounces during the same period of 2022.
The production of the Sukari mine during 2022 amounted to 440,974 thousand ounces, with an annual increase of 6 percent.
The gold mine recorded revenues of $788.4 million during 2022, compared to about $733.3 million in 2021, the company noted.
Since the start of production in 2009, the Sukari mine has produced more than 5 million ounces of gold, and today the expected life of the mine is 14 years.
The production from the mine hiked during the fourth quarter of 2018 by 17 percent to 137,600 ouances, compared to 117,720 ounces in the third quarter of the same year.
Production from Egypt’s Sukari Gold Mine rose 27 percent during the third quarter of 2018, recording 117,720 ounces.
Raghy said in July that production from Egypt’s Sukari Gold Mine had reached 108.8 tons of gold since the mine started production in 2010, and through to June 2018.
General Manager of Centamin Egypt and Managing Director of Sukari Gold Mining Company Youssef el-Raghy clarified that the production recorded 1.1 tons of gold in June 2018.
The company will keep the gold production in 2018 at levels between 505,000 and 515,000 ounces.
Egypt received a total of $309.2 million on profit account and tribute from the Sukari Gold Mine.
Centamin lowered its gold production target to 515,000 ounces in 2018 from 560,000 ounces in the beginning of the year, compared to 550,000 ounces in 2017.
The Sukari mine’s total gold production has recorded 106.7 tons since the beginning of production in 2010 till last April.
The Sukari Gold Mining Company targets producing around 560,000 ounces of gold in 2018, up from 550,000 ounces in 2017.
Total production from Sukari Gold Mine increased 14 percent quarter-on-quarter to 124,641 ounces during the quarter ended June 30, 2017 from 109,100 ounces.
