General Authority for Supply Commodities
The General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) said it had reached an agreement to purchase 360,000 tons of Russian and Romanian wheat through an international tender.
The General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) announced on Thursday the first tender to import short-grain milled white rice in 2018.
About 295,000 tons of Russian wheat will be imported as per a second tender.
The largest allocation was LE 2.55 billion and it went for the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC).
The Finance Ministry has allocated urgent financial contributions valued at LE 4.9 billion for a number of entities .
An official in the Ministry of Supply told Egypt Today that around 30,000 tons will be soybean oil, while more than 10,000 tons will be sunflower oil.
The allocations included LE 3.4 billion for the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) for the use of ration card and bread subsidies.
The Ministry of Supply will stop subsidizing flour for its bread subsidy program as of August.
