Sinai attack
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received, on Sunday, phone calls from a number of Arab leaders who expressed their support for Egypt in combating terrorism following the terrorist attack that targeted Egyptian soldiers in Sinai on Saturday.
Saudi Arabia condemned the attack and affirmed Saudi support to Egypt against threats to its security and stability. The Kingdom also hailed the role played by the Egyptian Army in facing such terrorist attacks.
Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu-Zeid deplored the CNN Sunday’s coverage of the recent Arish attack.
Muslim Brotherhood described in a Sunday statement the terrorists killed during an attempt to attack several checkpoints in North Sinai as “civilians”.
