Ahmed Tantawi
Former MP Ahmed Tantawi was arrested Monday in Matariya Appeals Court to serve his one-year imprisonment over forging political endorsements in order to run for the 2024 presidential elections.
An Egyptian Court ruled, Tuesday, the suspended imprisonment of former MP Ahmed Tantawi and his office manager for one year along with paying a LE20,000-fine, and banning him from running in parliamentary elections for 5 years
MP Ahmed Tantawy faces charges of violating parliament’s internal regulations during parliament’s discussion sessions on the Red Sea islands of Tiran and Sanafir.
