He noted that EAEF's investment in Egypt hit $158 million, adding that the value of such investments would increase to reach $200 million by December.
Organized by EAEF’s investment manager Lorax Capital Partners, the fund will acquire stakes owned by Swicorp Private Equity and other minority shareholders.
Investing in Egypt would be a sign of confidence in the economy, EAEF chairman James A. Harmon said.
