Afsha, El Shahat fit for AS Vita Club’s match

CAIRO-5 March 2021: Al Ahly forwards Mohamed Magdy Afsha and Hussein El Shahat are fit for Saturday’s home match against AS Vita Club in Matchday 3 of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Al Ahly’s duo trained normally with the group on Friday and they are ready to help the team in the important clash against the Congolese champions.

Al Ahly’s head coach Pitso Mosimane announced Al Ahly’s squad for the match and it included Afsha and El Shahat who received the green light to participate in the game.

Al Ahly’s squad for the match consists of:

Mohamed El Shenawy, Ali Lotfy, Mostafa Shobier,

Defenders:
Ayman Ashraf, Mohamed Hany, Ahmed Beckham, Yasser Ibrahim, Mahmoud Wahid, Badr Benoun,

Hamdy Fathy, Aliou Dieng, Amr El Soulia, Afsha,

Forwards:
Junior Ajayi, Marwan Mohsen, Mohamed Sherif, Walter Bwalya, Taher Mohamed Taher and Hussein El Shahaat.

The defending champions lost 1-0 to Simba in Tanzania and they hope to bounce back against the Congolese team and take an important step towards securing a spot in the quarter-finals.

Al Ahly come second in the group with 3 points, the same points as AS Vita Club, while Tanzania’s Simba top the group with 6 points.
