Neymar recalls his first days in Barcelona

CAIRO – 2July 2017: Neymar da Silva recalled memories of his first days in Barcelona on Saturday. He talked about his reaction when he saw players like Messi, Xavi and Iniesta in the dressing room.

“The first month was complicated. It was an exquisite situation, of course, because when I entered and looked to the side there was Messi and on the other side Xavi ... or Iniesta, or Piqué. It seemed to be like we were in a video game: I had just played on the console (with them) and suddenly I had it by my side.” Neymar told MundoDeportivo.com.

Neymar added, “first I was embarrassed to speak to them. They are idols, they are my idols, and I was the newcomer and very young.”

The 25 year old Neymar joined Barcelona in 2013 when he was only 21 years old. He came from the Brazilian Santos team, and since then he has became a regular Barcelonan striker alongside Lionel Messi.

Neymar won two Spanish League titles, three Spanish Cups, and a Champions League title with the club.
