Al-Ahly tennis table teams arrive at Al-Ahly club

CAIRO –2 July 2017: Al-Ahly men’s and women’s table tennis teams arrived at Al-Ahly club on Sunday after their African Club Championship victory in Morocco.

An all Egyptian finals for the men’s team, Al-Ahly defeated Enppi 3-1, winning the tournament title. The men's team consisted of Omar Assar, El-Sayed Lashin and Nigerian Aruna Quadri.

The team finished at the top of their group as they defeated Algeria's RC Araba, Morocco Aqua in the semi-final.

Al-Ahly’s women team won the African Championship title on Friday in their victory over Nigerian side Canaan Queens in the final, as confirmed on the club’s website.

Qualifying for the finals after their 3-0 win over the Algerian team ACB in the semi-finals match, the women’s team consists of Yousra Ashraf, Dina Meshref and the Romanian Daniela Dodean.

Al-Ahly brings home their third African title with their last win of 2015 in Cameroon.
