Handball World Cup is a great advertising opportunity for Egypt and its security, Logistics Commission Head

CAIRO-29 January 2021: Mamdouh El-Sheshtawi, Head of the Logistics Commission of Egypt 2021, said that the success in hosting the IHF Men’s Handball World Championship in such difficult circumstances is a great advertisement for Egypt and its security.

Egypt is hosting the prestigious competition, which witnesses the participation of 32 teams for the first time in the competition’s history.

“To have all this huge number of foreigners here in Egypt, as well as taking memorial photos and sharing it on the social media platforms is a great advertising opportunity for Egypt and its security," El-Sheshtawi said.

The Organizing Committee organized touristic tours for the participating teams to the historic landmarks in Egypt to enjoy the beauty of Egypt.

El-Sheshtawi added “The participants are very well aware of the greatness of the Egyptian civilization as some of them asked to visit the Pyramids more times. Some members of the delegations kept some sands from the Pyramids area as a souvenir as they really know the importance of this historical place,"

The competition is considered one of the most important in the game’s history as it has been held in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
