CAIRO-28 January 2021: Egypt handball national team winger Mohamed Sanad expressed his pride after Egypt's brave performance against the World Cup title holders Denmark.
"The entire world saw what we can do, I'm extremely proud of my teammates and our coaches. We were up to the task many times." Sanad said.
The hosts were so close from victory in many periods in the match but some silly mistakes cost the Pharaohs the victory.
The game was decided on penalties as the regular time and the extra time ended with a 35-35 draw.
Sanad added "We knew Denmark are a massive opponent but we are also a big team. We came into the match wanting to win but sadly, it wasn't to be."
The Egyptian winger believes that Egypt can reach so far in the next Olympic Games in Tokyo, saying "I believe in us, and in our ability to prepare well for the Olympics."
