CAIRO-19 January 2021: The FIFA Club World Cup draw was held on Tuesday at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich to map the way for the six teams participating in the competition this February in Qatar.
Egypt champions, Al Ahly, will meet the host nation’s champions, Al Duhail SC, in the first round of the competition on 4 February at Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.
The Red Eagles qualified to the competition after defeating arch-rivals, Zamalek, 2-1 in the CAF Champions League final.
The winner of the match will face European champions, Bayern Munich, on 8 February in the semi-finals.
Al Ahly are participating in the competition for the sixth time, with the Red Eagles securing the bronze medal in 2006 in Japan.
On the other hand, Tigres UANL will face Asian champions, Ulsan Hyundai, and the winner will face 2020 Copa Libertadores winners, which will be decided on 30 January as Palmeiras face Santos in the final.
Qatar hosts the competition between 4 and 11 February.
