Handball World Cup will be held without audience

CAIRO, 11 January 2021: The Organizing Committee of the Handball World Cup Egypt 2021 decided to hold the tournament without the fans attending, due to the measures taken to fight COVID-19.

 

This came after the meeting of the Organizing Committee for the World Cup headed by Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, and in the presence of Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Sports, and Hassan Mustafa, President of the International Handball Federation.

 

Next to Eng. Hisham Nasr, President of the Egyptian Handball Federation and the Organizing Committee, and Hussein Labib, director of the tournament.

 

The Handball World Cup will be held in Egypt from January 13 until the end of the same month.

 

Egypt will open the tournament against Chile next Wednesday, in the covered hall of Cairo International Stadium.
