CAIRO-1 January 2020: Turkish reports said that Galatasaray are interested in signing Aston Villa’s Egyptian winger, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, in the winter.
The Egyptian winger has been linked with a move to the Turkish club since his time with Kasımpaşa between 2017 and 2019.
The Egyptian winger lost his starting position at Aston Villa to Bertrand Tarore, who joined the English giants in the summer from Lyon, while the Egyptian winger is sidelined due to hamstring injury.
During his spell in Turkey, The former Al Ahly player has made a remarkable performance, scoring 25 goals and providing 18 assists in 67 appearances in all competitions.
Trezeguet’s outstanding performance in the Turkish League motivates Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim to sign the Egyptian winger as he sees him as an excellent addition to his squad, who are fighting to win the league title.
Galatasaray lost the league title last season to Istanbul Başakşehir, who won the title for the first time in the club’s short history.
