CAIRO-24 December 2020: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, played down the speculations over Mohamed Salah’s future with the club.
Rumors linked the Egyptian winger with a move to Spanish giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid, especially after the Egyptian winger said in an interview with AS that he is not sure about his future with the Reds.
“Mo is in a good mood and moment, shape and that is the most important thing. You would have seen him laughing a lot [today]. The rest is nice for you to write about but internally, nothing really [to say]." Klopp said.
The Egyptian winger is having a great season with the Reds as he is leading the league’s top scorer list with 13 goals, which helped Liverpool to top the standings.
Klopp added “It's the best position you can be in the moment. Two years ago when we didn't win the league after being top it wasn't a lack of focus, it was just the quality of the opponent. This quality is still out there."
Liverpool will host West Bromwich Albion on Sunday in the league and the Egyptian winger is expected to start the match after coming from the bench in the last match against Crystal Palace.
