CAIRO – 1 July 2017: A total of 70,000 Egyptian fans will support the Egyptian national team against Uganda in 2018 World Cup Qualifier, announced Khaled Abdel Aziz, Minister of Sports and Youth, on Friday.

“Fans will be able to attend only International matches,” Abdel Aziz told the press during his visit to Alexandria Stadium.

Making note of the reasons for the current ban on fans attending matches, Abdel Aziz added “Fans will be able to return to the stadiums when they stick to security rules.”

When talking about the Arab Clubs Championship matches, he said “Alexandria will host matches of two groups in the competition… Alexandria Stadium will be ready one week before the competition,” according to Yallakora.

Egypt will face Uganda on August 31 in Uganda and on September 5 in the Borg El Arab stadium in Alexandria for the 2018 World Cup African Qualifiers.

Egypt holds the first position in its group with six points after two wins against Congo and Ghana, while Uganda is the second with four points.
