Walid Soliman tested positive for COVID-19, doubts on his presence in African Match of the Century

CAIRO, 23 November 2020: Walid Soliman, Al-Ahly winger, announced that he and his son, Selim, were tested positive for COVID-19.

 

Walid Soliman published on his official Facebook page, as well as on his official Instagram account, a short post in which he announced that he was infected with the Coronavirus.

 

Walid wrote: "Praise be to God before and after, Selim and I are positive Corona, your prayers."

 

Al-Ahly revealed, on their official website, that Walid Soliman had undergone a new medical swab on, Sunday.

 

Walid Soliman participated in Al-Ahly's victory over Abu Qir Fertilizers in the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup, and led the team to the semi-finals by scoring two goals.

 

Walid Soliman is the fifth player in Al-Ahly to announce that he has been infected with the Corona virus in the past few days, after Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba”, Saleh Gomaa, Mohamed Sharif and Ahmed Yasser Rayan.

 

Al-Ahly is preparing to face Zamalek in the upcoming Friday's CAF Champions League final. Many are considering the match as the African Match of the Century.
