CAIRO-19 November 2020: Rodrygo Antonio, Real Madrid and Brazil U-23 team winger, sent a heartwarming message to Egyptians after his participation with Brazil in the U-23 friendly tournament, held in Egypt during November's International break.
"I would like to thank you for your kindness, hospitality and your respect for me and my teammates. I am following the participation of Egyptians and people from the Arab region on social media platforms and I would like to thank you for your messages. It is a great feeling to share these moments together." Rodrygo tweeted the message in Arabic and Portuguese.
Brazil participated in the friendly tournament alongside South Korea and Egypt, as part of the preparations for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Rodrygo and his teammates aim to defend their title in Japan after clinching the Gold medal for the first time in the history at home in 2016.
The Brazilians came second in the standings behind the hosts after defeating South Korea 3_1 and losing the second game to Egypt 2-1.
