Youth Minister checks Basketball World Cup preparations

CAIRO –30 June 2017: The Minister of Youth and Sports Khaled Abdul Aziz paid a field visit on Friday evening to the Cairo International Stadium to examine the final preparations for the Under-19 Youth Basketball World Cup. The World Cup will be held on Saturday under the patronage of President Abdul Fattah Al Sisi.

The minister assured all the preparations for the championship. The opening match between Puerto Rico and Egypt will start on Saturday evening. In addition to the readiness of the media center, all members of the organizing committee for the championship are getting ready to host an organized cup, according to Super Kora.

The minister also witnessed the training of teams participating in the World Cup.The tournament will be held in Cairo Stadium in preparation for the games beginning July 1 and ending July 9.
