Liverpool Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, Reuters
CAIRO-14 November 2020: Egyptian Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that the national team's winger Mohamed Salah is in a good health condition.
Salah is following the protocol, set by the Ministry, and his case is being monitored by the head of the Ministry's Scientific Committee.
The Egyptian winger tested positive for COVID-19 and he will miss Egypt's match against Togo on Saturday night in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) issued a statement on Friday regarding the player’s case, noting that the player showed no symptoms of the disease.
The player will follow the protocol, set by the national team’s doctor Mohamed Abo El Ela, in coordination with Liverpool’s medical team.
The EFA’s statement added that the rest of the players tested negative for COVID-19 and they are ready for the match against Togo in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
