CAIRO – 30 June 2017: The International Federation of Basketball Association (FIBA) announced that the teams participating in the Youth World Cup will visit patients in the children’s cancer hospital, Hospital 57357, on July 6 in Egypt.
This visit takes place during the Youth World Cup under the age of 19 (U19), which runs from July 1-9 in the Indoor Halls Complex of the Cairo International Stadium.
In addition to the hospital visit, Super Kora reported that FIBA is organizing a training camp for players aged 13 to 17 in partnership with Tunisian star Saleh Mejri’s foundation and the Egyptian Basketball Federation.
Aimed at raising the skills of the youth, the basketball camp, running from July 3-6 in the Indoor Halls Complex of the Cairo International Stadium, will include Dallas-Mavericks player Mejri, joined by coaches John Calipari (the U.S.) and Roy Rana (Canada),former West Adelaide Bearcats player Brandon Mann (Australia) and UNICS Kazan head coach Evgeniy Pashutin (Russia).
