CAIRO-30 October 2020: Borg El Arab stadium in Alexandria will host the CAF Champions League final on 27 November at 9:00 pm (Local Time), CAF nnounced on Friday.
The final was initially scheduled on 6 November but CAF postponed the match, amid the Egyptian authorities’ request.
Al Ahly booked their place in the final for the 13th time in the club’s history after defeating Moroccan giants, Wydad Casablanca, 5-1 on aggregate.
Al Ahly players are waiting the winner between Zamalek and Raja Casablanca who meet in the CAF Champions League semi-final second leg on Wednesday 4 November.
The first leg in Morocco ended with a 1-0 win for the Egyptian team, thanks to a goal from their Moroccan winger Achraf Bencherki.
Borg El Arab is one of the best stadiums in the country and it merged to be Egypt’s new football cathedral in the last years.
Borg El Arab hosted the CAF Champions League final in four occasions in 2012, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
