CAIRO-27 October 2020: Zamalek defender Mahmoud Hamdy El Wensh is set to miss the game against Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League semi-final second leg for injury.
The player suffered an injury during Zamalek's 3-1 due to knee over Ismaily in the Egyptian League on Monday night. This victory secured Zamalek's spot in the CAF Champions League competition next season.
The player underwent a scan on Tuesday to evaluate his injury and it proved that the player will not be available for the important game.
The first leg in Casablanca ended with a 1-0 win for the Egyptian team thanks to a wonderful header from Achraf Bencherki.
The second leg was initially scheduled on Saturday 24 October but CAF moved the match to Sunday 1 November as many Raja players tested positive for coronavirus.
The winner will face Al Ahly on 6 November in the CAF Champions League final at Borg Al Arab stadium in Alexandria.
