CAIRO-23 October 2020: The Confederation of African Football (CAF) sets a new date for Zamalek clash against Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League semi-final second leg.
“RAJA CA informed CAF of the quarantine of its team by the Moroccan health authorities, following the detection of eight (8) players declared positive for COVID-19 tests.” CAF statement said.
The game was initially scheduled on Saturday 24 October but CAF moved the match to Sunday 1 November.
CAF statement added “The Organizing Committee for Inter-Club Competitions and Management of Club Licensing System has agreed to postpone the return match of the semi-final of the Champions League between Zamalek SC and Raja CA on November 1st, 2020.
The first leg in Casablanca ended with a 1-0 win for the Egyptian team thanks to a wonderful header from Achraf Bencherki.
The winner will face the winner between Al Ahly and Wydad Casablanca who are set to meet on Friday night at Cairo International stadium.
